Way Behind

As most of you know, I am way behind on updates for the blog. With that being said, some things will be out of order. To start off, here are some pictures of Logan and I baking sugar cookies.I knew my belly was big, but these pictures make it look HUGE! CHRISTMAS This year it was hard for me to get ready for Christmas. I felt like if I put it off, our baby would also not make her arrival soon thereafter. It seemed that I had so many things to get ready and I didn't think I could get it all done. I had Christmas spirit, but I just did a lot of procrastinating. Anyway, Christmas morning was a lot more fun this year with Logan. He was "helpful" in handing out the presents. Sometimes he wouldn't even give the present out, he would just open it himself. Tools so that he can help Daddy Ben modeling his chain saw helmet. Logan enjoying Mommy's new purse. The week after Christmas my mom and dad came down to spend some time with us. Unfortunately, Logan ended up being sick the whole week. In fact we took him to urgent care one day and to the doctor on another. We found out that Logan had a mildcase of pneumonia. However, mom and dad were able to go to an ultrasound with me. They were able to enjoy seeing Audrey moving around. It was the most difficult ultrasound I have done. I am not sure if it was because I was lying flat on my back or the lack of sleep I had gotten the night before, but it was very uncomfortable. The technician told us that she was probably 7 lbs 11 ozs, give or take a pound. She said normally she is closer to the minus a pound. As we soon found out, that was not the case for us.

New Okie to the Smith household

Today, we welcomed the newest member to the Smith household, Audrey Joyce. She was born at 12:24 pm CST, weighed 8 lbs 8 oz, and is 21" long. Both her and Mommy are doing great. She does have some hair, and at this point in time, it does not look like she will have red hair. It might have some red highlights in it, but it is more on the blonde side. Here are a few pictures of her early on in life with many more to come.

Christmas Lights

We went with our small group to look at Christmas lights last Sunday. We had a nice dinner and then got to see some beautiful lights. These were actually taken at the second place we went to look at the lights.

Baking with Logan

Need I say more.(He dumped his blocks and also the container that holds the sweet n low packets. Plus he had his blanket and pillow with him.)

Pregnancy Update

Here are some pictures of me at 35 weeks. These pictures were taken right before my baby shower. For your information I will be 37 weeks on the 24th of December. That is correct only 3 weeks to go. It is crazy how quickly this pregnancy went. I think that it has a lot to do with the fact of keeping up with Logan and also getting ready for Christmas right before I am due. The doctor says that I am right on schedule for my due date. We have an ultrasound scheduled for next Thursday to check her size. With Logan being such a big baby, the doctor is concerned that I will tear again and she wants to prevent that if possible. BABY SHOWER PICTURES

This was Logan's favorite present besides some of the toys. After I was all finished opening presents, he went back to the gift bag that this was in and pulled it out and started rubbing the soft sleeves against his face.

Snow in Oklahoma

On December 7, we actually had snow in the evening. Ben was working on fixing my car window (we won't talk about that), so Kara and I took Logan outside for a few minutes to enjoy the snow. We figured we better take advantage of the snow while we could, because we never know if we will get more snow here in Oklahoma City.Watching it snow

Enjoying My Birthday Cake

I spent my birthday with Ben. Kara, (our friend who is living with us) agreed to watch Logan, so that we could go out for my birthday. It was really nice to be able to have an adult conversation without a little person constantly saying, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, etc." After a very enjoyable dinner, we went and did some Christmas shopping. After shopping, then we went and watched a movie. It was such a blessing to be able to spend this time with Ben. On our way home, we stopped and bought an ice cream cake. Logan was already asleep when we got home, however, he definitely enjoyed my cake the next day. Ice Cream Cake makes good hair gel!
