Easter- Part 2

Easter morning, I got Logan up and took him to the living room to see what the Easter bunny brought him. Not only did he check out his loot, but also his sister's. He was a little disappointed to find that Audrey's eggs were empty.Easter bunny and gifts from Grandparents

In Logan's eggs, there were robin eggs, m&ms, and jelly beans. However, these are not the names that Logan uses. He often goes around asking for Nem nems and baked beans.Yes, he clearly says baked beans. It took us a while to figure out why he was asking for baked beans all the time. To help us out, he started pointing to his Easter bucket.Check out my new shades

Easter- Part 1

Logan was unable to walk last year at Easter, so I was really looking forward to taking him to his first Easter egg hunt. I even tried to have him practice at home. Little did I know that the parents out here are a little greedy when it comes to an egg hunt. The Saturday before Easter, our church was having a community outreach, but they would not be hosting an Easter egg hunt. This was due to the fact that the park just down the road would be hosting one. It had been fairly warm, so I didn't pack a jacket or sweatshirt for me. We got to the church and I discovered that the shoes I brought for Logan were too small. Since I was planning to be outside most of the early afternoon, I decided it would be best if I ran to the dollar store and got me a sweatshirt and Logan some shoes. I got back just in time to send Logan and Ben to the egg hunt. After they got back, I asked how it went and Ben's response was "Some parents are so ridiculous." I asked what happened. He said that he put Logan in the one and two year old group, someone said "GO" and the parents took off. They would scoop eggs into piles and then "help" their kid put them in their basket. Logan didn't get any eggs in this age group. :( So he took Logan off to the side and waited for the next age group (3-5 year olds) to start. He pulled 3 eggs over and left Logan put those in his bucket. After the egg hunt, Logan got to play in the bouncy house and also enjoyed his first hay ride.

One night we ask Logan what he wanted for a snack and he told us cookies. Then he told us "nook, I dip it."Ben patiently waiting for his turn. :)

Awards Banquet- Year 2

Ben has been serving on the Honor Guard for two years. In those two years, he has participated in numerous funerals and retirement ceremonies over much of the state of Oklahoma. He does his job well, even though he would never say that. It came time for the awards banquet and Ben was nominated for Ceremonial Guardsman of the Year for the officers. (I am not sure if you remember last year, but we initially weren't going and ended up going at the last minute.) Anyway, this is the same award that Ben received last year, so when I found out was nominated once again, I immediately asked him if we were going. He wasn't sure, but then he found out that he was the only one nominated. Since I knew far enough in advance, I was able to go and get a new dress with the help of Jenna. (It was wonderful to have someone be available to give a second opinion and also watch the kids while I tried on what seemed like a hundred dresses.) Here are some pictures from the banquet. I don't often get the chance to say that I proud of my husband, but I am truly blessed to have Ben for my husband. He works hard at home and at work and this award just goes to show that he is good at what he does!!!!

So I take pictures, don't have time to blog, and then suffer from kidnesia (amnesia caused by having kids.) So I will do my best to try to label these pictures. Who wears short shorts? Audrey-these were Logan's when he was first born. Since Mommy was on the computer, Logan thought that he should be on his little laptop and say "Cheese!" The next few pictures of Audrey in her hat and bootie set that Emily made.

Working on my tan

Logan enjoys being outside and we have a fenced in back porch that he enjoys anytime I have the doors open. One day I heard the back door close, so I figured Logan went outside. After a few minutes of not hearing him, I went to check on him. This is what I found... I decided to go and bring Audrey outside to enjoy the nice weather. Logan saw that I had the camera and wanted to take some pictures. Here are the pictures that Logan took. I am not sure what happened to his pants, but what better way to work on your tan than without them. I think he was using his hands as binoculars. I am not sure where this kid comes up with some of this stuff.

Look what I found

Logan tends to disappear back into our bedroom when I am busy tending to other things. Sometimes he changes the thermostat on our bed. There have been times when he had it set to 100 degrees, other times it is 60. But this day he found some of Ben's old glasses. Yes, glasses just stay on better when they are upside down.
